Qcd Phase Transition and Primordial Density Perturbations
We analyze the effect of primordial density perturbations on the cosmic QCD phase transition. According to our results hadron bubbles nucleate at the cold perturbations. We call this mechanism inhomogeneous nucleation. We find the typical distance between bubble centers to be a few meters. This exceeds the estimates from homogeneous nucleation by two orders of magnitude. The resulting baryon in...
متن کاملVacuum Phase Transition at Nonzero Baryon Density
It is argued that the dominant contribution to the interaction of quark gluon plasma at moderate T ≥ T c is given by the nonperturba-tive vacuum field correlators. Basing on that nonperturbative equation of state of quark-gluon plasma is computed and in the lowest approximation expressed in terms of absolute values of Polyakov lines for quarks and gluons L f und (T); L adj (T) = (L f und) 9/4 k...
متن کاملPhase transition(s) in finite density QCD
The Grand Canonical formalism is generally used in numerical simulations of finite density QCD since it allows free mobility in the chemical potential μ. We show that special care has to be used in extracting numerical results to avoid dramatic rounding effects and spurious transition signals. If we analyze data correctly, with reasonable statistics, no signal of first order phase transition is...
متن کاملPhase transition of the minimum degree random multigraph process
We study the phase transition of the minimum degree multi-graph process. We prove that for a constant hg ≈ 0.8607, with probability tending to 1 as n → ∞, the graph consists of small components on O(log n) vertices when the number of edges of a graph generated so far is smaller than hgn, the largest component has order roughly n when the number of edges added is exactly hgn, and the graph consi...
متن کاملTime-Optimal Output Transition for Minimum Phase Systems
The time-optimal output transition control problem for stable or marginally stable systems with minimum-phase zeros is discussed in this paper. A double integrator system with a real left-half plane zero is used to illustrate the development of the time-optimal output transition controller. It is shown that an exponentially decaying postactuation control profile is necessary to maintain the out...
